The AFP Northeast Indiana Chapter offers a CFRE Review Course each year in October. The review course gives fundraising professionals an opportunity to review the main components of a complete fundraising program in preparation for sitting for the CFRE exam. It is an intensive two-day program that focuses on terminology, organization, and the structure of a development operation. Topics include:
- History of philanthropy
- Laying the foundation for fund development
- Defining an integrated development program
- Making the case
- Volunteers and staff—roles, responsibilities, and relationships
- Identifying, involving, and retaining current and prospective donors
- Annual giving and fundraising methods
- Planned giving
- Capital giving
In 2009, the two-day course will be held on Thursday, October 22nd from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Friday, October 23rd from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The cost is $370 for AFP (or affiliate organization) members and $410 for non-members, and includes lunch on both days.
